All Communicare services begin with a call to our toll-free number:

Why should a physician or health care providers use Communicare rather than a pharmaceutical company Patient Assistance Program (PAP)?

With one simple annual Communicare application, patients have access to more than 381 medications from eleven national pharmaceutical companies. This eliminates the need for patients to complete multiple applications every 90 days, which is what happens when a patient requests medications from different drug manufacturers and their Patient Assistance Programs (PAP). Communicare provides a more convenient application process and saves the patient and office staff time and money.

What is Communicare?

Communicare provides health care services and prescription medications to working, uninsured South Carolinians who do not have insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, SilverRx Card, or Veteran's Health Benefits. Physicians and health care providers volunteer to see patients at no charge, and pharmaceutical companies donate medications from their product lines to Communicare's central-fill pharmacy. Communicare manages this network of resources, becoming a single source for helping qualified patients get the care they need.
